CALIBER M-1 CARBINE – SEALED PACKET OF FIFTY ROUNDS –
DATED MAY 1944:
This sealed World War Two issue packet of “50
CARTRIDGES CARBINE; CALIBER .30 M1” manufactured at the
Lake City Ordnance Plant is stamped in red ink “REPACKED
EC 5-44”, indicating this ammunition was produced before
May of 1944, certainly early enough to predate the
Normandy invasion and could have been the type issued to the
airborne troopers. In like new, unissued condition,
packets of this sort are becoming scarce on the market
and will eventually disappear altogether. This packet
will make a nice addition to display with an airborne
jump kit or with a M-1 Carbine in any context. $100
