US ARMY MODEL 1902 OFFICERS DRESS CAP INSIGNIA AND MODEL 1917 ENLISTED MAN’S DRESS CAP INSIGNIA:   Intended for wear on the “peaked” dress uniform cap adopted in 1902, these insignias marked the end of the branch of arms insignia which featured the crossed sabres, rifles or cannons – and the various staff corps insignia.  Instead, these new cap insignias incorporated the coat of arms of the United States and were standard issue for all officers and soldiers, respectively.

Both insignias are fitted with the “screw back”, threaded post and washer and both insignias are complete with both pieces.

MODEL 1902 OFFICERS DRESS CAP INSIGNIA:  In excellent condition, this officer’s pattern insignia retains a bright finish with all of the original gilt wash intact and no evidence of wear or aging.  Both stabilizing pins on the reverse of the wing tips are present and intact.  A very nice example.  (0429)  $35

MODEL 1917 ENLISTED MAN’S DRESS CAP INSIGNIA:  In excellent condition, this enlisted man’s pattern insignia retains a bright finish with all of the original gilt wash intact and no evidence of wear or aging.  A very nice example.  (0430)  $35
