M1916 BACON TIN: Issued to the
individual soldier to keep his daily ration of bacon or
meat, designed to prevent the meat grease from soiling
his knapsack or pack. No dents or other signs of
severe use or wear, with much of the original tin
plating present on the interior. A basic item of
the soldier’s campaign kit. (066)
