.45/70 TRAPDOOR CARBINE BUTT PLATE w/ OVAL HOLE
CUT OUT: A ca. 1881Trapdoor Carbine Butt
Plate with the proper oval shaped cut out to accommodate
the three piece cleaning rods. These butt plates are
correct for carbines above the 155,000 serial number
range. This specimen is complete with the trap cover
which moves smoothly, however the spring and spring
retaining screw are missing. These two pieces may be
purchased from several suppliers. This specimen shows
marks overall indicating use through the years. The
“US” is present on the tang. (#1) $35
