Since its first publication in 1956, The Northwest
Gun has been recognized as “the” reference for the
student and collector of the famous Northwest Serpent
Side Plate Trade Guns which were actively traded to the
Indians in North America. This 85 page volume is well
illustrated with clear, detailed photographs, and it
offers a detailed, well organized text that is easy to
use. While other volumes have been published on the
subject, Hanson laid this firm foundation from which all
those which followed have been launched.
