HORSTMANN BROS. & COMPANY 1877
CATALOGUE OF MILITARY GOODS – WELL ILLUSTRATED:
An excellent reprint of the 32 page catalogue published
in 1877 by the famous Horstmann Bros. Military Equipment
Company. Located in Philadelphia, the Horstmann Company
was one of the largest purveyors of uniforms, hats,
swords, accoutrements and all fashion of military
equipment used by United States officers and soldiers,
as well as police, firemen, bands, military schools, and
state militia units. Featuring one of the largest
offerings of period detailed etching for each item
offered, this is a valuable reference to identify some
of the more unusual pieces that often appear in the old
collections.
This copy is ex libris from the
R. Stephen Dorsey research library and it is in very
good condition, showing very little wear. (0345) $10
